Meet the Team
Daniel Clader, DDS
Dr. Dan Clader has a passion for dentistry that is genuine and contagious. While he loves to learn and teach, his greatest joy is found in the day to day and year to year relationships with his patients. He understands how dental disease and problems can affect one's overall health and well-being, and he loves to help people who want to improve their dental health. He also knows that life issues such as fear, finances, medical concerns, job constraints and family commitments can get in the way of this process.
Dr. Clader is committed to providing the highest quality dentistry available. Offering modern advances in dental technology is critical. He continually expands his education and has been fortunate to learn from some of the best clinical dentists around the world.
Jen believes she found her calling upon accepting a chair side seat across from Dr. Dan. She is a lifelong learner, thriving on new challenges. She loves the interaction that allows her to get to know our patients, and walk alongside them toward optimal dental health. She keeps our inventory organized and "never empty." She is a meticulous dental assistant and has a keen understanding of all the different dental treatments. She loves dental surgery - especially helping with dental implants!
Kristi is one of four Colorado Smiles team members who were born and raised in the Montrose area. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene at Colorado Northwest Community College in Rangely, and couldn't be more thankful to have found a job with Dr. Clader in her home town.
We spent many months looking for the perfect addition to our dynamite team, and Kayrell "completes us." Kayrell helps keeps the schedule just right so we can run on time - very important to us and much appreciated by our patients. While being a stay at home mom to Elijah and Audriana, she decided it was time to return to the work force, and we are so glad she did!
Karla is a Colorado native, growing up in Pueblo before attending Adams State College, then the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where she received her degree as a Physician Assistant. After she and Dan married and moved to Montrose in 1983, she practiced as a pediatric Physician Assistant for many years. She enjoys all things outdoors and loves mountain biking, hiking and camping, snowshoeing, and being on the summit of a mountain. Karla and Dan have two amazing daughters, Hannah and Emily (married to Kyle), and one even more amazing first grandson, Arthur!

Cosmetic dentistry is one of the best ways to change your appearance, your overall sense of well being, and your self confidence. People lead their interactions with their smiles, and the way smiles can be changed with Cosmetic Dentistry can be simply amazing. From implants to replace missing teeth, to porcelain veneers to change the shape and color of teeth, modern dentistry offers many ways to create positive, dramatic, natural looking changes.
Dental implants are a way to replace missing teeth and secure or replace dentures. They are extremely predictable and can amazingly improve chewing ability. Implants can be used to replace one missing tooth, or up to all of someone's teeth. They can eliminate the need for conventional bridges and in some patients, can eliminate the need for removable dentures. Click here to request a free implants consultation.
Many people have extreme anxiety about dental appointments. Sedation dentistry can be a good option if you fit into that group. It is safe, time-tested, and works in such a way that you have little or no memory of your dental appointment. People that choose sedation dentistry as a path to good dental health love it.
